It is officially winter this week, and one thing that I always notice is the way by this point in the year so many of my friends and colleagues are exhausted beyond recognition. Not in a ‘woah I’ve had a busy week’ way but a ‘oh my god I don’t have anything left in me to give’ (socially or professionally) way by this point in the year.
The week before Christmas. Everything has come to its climax. And why? A big celebration? No. Because we all will actually stop working for a hot minute. Maybe even seven to ten days, we will be off emails, non contactable. (Just writing that makes my shoulders drop). The universally recognised ‘time off’ for Christmas is nearly here. Which means we have all agreed that we must do ALL the work before we can relax, right?
