how to learn about yourself
the best ways to find out more about YOU - from energetics to location to red nails
It sounds simple. To get what you want in life, you need to know what you want in life. Not explicitly, but at least the feeling you’re chasing. I’ve always loved learning about myself - psychologically, astrologically, energetically… any way, you name it. Not as a self obsession, but as a way of understanding the world better, understanding why I am the way I am, and why others are the way they are.
It’s that time of year where we might be turning a bit more inward, hibernating and thinking about what we want for ourselves. It can be a lot when you don’t have a basis of what you are are, need, like or are good at. If that sounds like you then the below are my favourite ways to discover more about yourself (and tips on how to delve in to each), from energetics to location to balancing your nervous system.
The below learnings about myself genuinely changed my life. I can’t imagine living without these insights into how I work and how others perceive me. I would be living a totally different, less happy, less aligned life if I had never put the time in to knowing myself.
After all, what else is there in life?
Human design
The ways in which Human Design helped me find my true self (and still is my basis when I feel lost) are endless. The graph below is an example chart of what you BodyGraph in Human Design looks like. Think of it as a mix of astrology and chakras - and it’ll tell you what your energy is like, how best to use it and how to best be received by others (by avoiding repelling energy). You can create your own one here, and find my more detailed post on my tips to understand yours here.
Below are some of my top learnings from HD and how it made me live more aligned. For example, I never had a ‘5 year plan’ I just wanted to be the best I could be and most successful I could be. Learning I was a non-specific manifestor helped so much as I realised that indeed it was a feeling I was chasing, not a list of things. Physical things might help me feel that feeling, sure, (can’t wait for my future house in the South of France where I host the holidays…) but I have a goal to aim towards. I know I’m chasing connection, I always have. It’s the feeling of having that house that I crave, not the actual house.
-Learning that I feel others feelings sometimes more than they do, which is why I don’t like large groups as I find it overwhelming.
- Learning how to remove others energy from my body to come back to myself. I have a very open chart so I absorbs others energy a lot which means I can sometimes take on their feelings as my own.
